Kevin Dawrant

LPL Financial Planner

Office Nickname: “KD”

I began my career in financial services as an intern over the summer of 2017 and almost immediately fell in love. Since then, I have earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and I was lucky enough to join the team on a full time basis in 2018.

My primary role is to support advisors that are using our complex financial tools and software to help create and maintain your financial plan. My goal is to do this every single day to the best of my ability.

Helping you meet your short- and long-term financial goals is our primary focus, and I believe my genuine care for the client only adds to our concierge level of service; saying I’m relationship oriented is an understatement. I believe that understanding why your portfolio is invested in a particular way is just as important as investing in the first place. We look forward to ensuring that every client, from the most simple to the most sophisticated, truly understands and affirms this "why".

When I’m not at the office, some of my favorite activities include hunting and fishing, hiking and spending time outdoors, and attending Dave Matthews Band or country music concerts. If you’ve got an hour or so to burn, ask me about any one of these topics.

Professional Accreditations & Education: Bachelors in Economics & Statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Maintain Series 7 Registration with LPL Financial.

Most Prestigious Accolade: Little league baseball “Smiliest Teammate” award that I find still applies to this team.

Fictional character you wish you had on speed-dial: Jon McClain from Die Hard, or Vincent Laguardia Gambini from My Cousin Vinny.

Favorite Pun: “Whiteboards are truly re-markable”

Favorite Iconic Sports Moment: Vince Young’s performance in the 2006 Rose Bowl (USC vs. Texas).

Chicago Restaurant Recommendation: Rosebud on Rush Street on the corner of Rush and Superior near the Magnificent Mile.
